Beachbody 3 Day Refresh Review

Beachbody 3 Day Refresh ReviewI just finished the 3 Day Refresh and its time for a review. Beachbody released the 3 Day Refresh at the 2014 Beachbody Coach Summit which I was unable to attend as I was due to become a dad for the first time a week after Summit.

I did buy the 3 Day Refresh and started it after my son was born. Might not have been a great idea due to my newborn son being up at random hours of the night.

The month leading up to starting the 3 Day Refresh was stressful. The thoughts of becoming a dad were prevalent along with nearing the end of a kitchen remodel. Getting the kitchen done before he was born was a must. A three week project become a six week project when the kitchen cabinets were delivered damaged. There was a hint of stress in the air from all of this.

We either had to BBQ outside or microwave food in our basement.  This made it easy to decide to go out to eat three times as much as we normally do. Workouts became sporadic dealing with all of this as the house was not functioning like normal. Needless to say I was due for a pick me up. A refresh if you will.

Beginning Weight – 194.4 lbs

Finishing Weight –  188.6 lbs

Total Weight Loss = 5.8 pounds

Not bad for 3 days.

Didn’t feel tired like I did at times when doing the Ultimate Reset. The 900 calorie a day restriction with the 3 Day Refresh did not bother me. Maybe it was because I had eaten more than I probably should have the previous two weeks and had some “reserves” to work with. I felt a lot less bloated when done.

What About The Supplements?

The Vanilla Fresh tasted very good. Didn’t realize it was both a dairy and soy free protein shake until I flipped the packet over on the last day and read the ingredients. The Fiber Sweep tasted very similar but a bit smoother to the detox packet in the Ultimate Reset. Since I buy Shakeology every month I picked up the kit without the Shakeology packets which saved me a couple bucks.

Would I Do The 3 Day Refresh Again?

Of course. It was very straightforward and I was familiar with the dinners you have to make as they were in the Ultimate Reset. The 3 Day Refresh is better than doing the Shakeology 3 Day Cleanse which from what I heard was designed to replace. Turns out you shouldn’t be having just three shakes a day. You need some food.

In the end it was a great quick little program to get me back on track after dealing with the stress of a pregnancy in the house and no kitchen at the same time.
