Beachbody On Demand Review: Its About Time

Beachbody On Demand ReviewIt’s about damn time Beachbody.

I mean fo realz. I remember being in Elite Coach meetings years ago asking the executive team when Beachbody workouts were going to be available online. Well, that time has finally come. Beachbody On Demand is here.

I am going to cover all of the ins and outs of Beachbody On Demand along with some info from my years buying Beachbody programs and as being a Beachbody Coach.

Let’s get right into it.

Beachbody On Demand Cost

You will be able to view every Beachbody workout online with a Beachbody Club membership. Meal plans and workout sheets are also included online. There are three options to choose from when selecting a Beachbody On Demand membership. All of the options below allow you to view every Beachbody program.

  • $99 Year Annual All Access Plan: Every Beachbody workout for less than the price of one workout on DVD. By far the best value.
  • $59 Six Month All Access Plan: Maybe you’re the sort of person who likes to do two 90 day programs a year and thats it.
  • $39 Three Month All Access Plan: Maybe you only like to do one 90 day program a year.

All of the plans above are billed in advance and come with a 30 day money back guarantee. The three month plan comes with a 14 day free trial.

One of the best benefits of the Beachbody Club membership outside of On Demand is you get a 10% discount on all Beachbody supplements.

This is a huge win for people who already buy Beachbody nutritional products like Shakeology or items from the Beachbody Performance Supplement line. The savings on those products make the club membership almost a wash.

Stream Beachbody On Demand

Its quite simple to start streaming your favorite workouts via your Team Beachbody account or BeachbodyOnDemand.com. Visit one of those two sites and log into your Beachbody Club account through your TV using Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, or Chromecast.

Beachbody On Demand App

You can also make it super easy on yourself and download the Beachbody On Demand app on iTunes for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Apple Watch users can stream their workouts on their iPhone or iPad, and Apple Watch will project real-time heart rate and caloric burn on those screens.

The Beachbody On Demand app is also available for Android users via Google Play.

You will need a Beachbody Club membership to make the apps work.

Cancel Beachbody On Demand

If you are wondering how to cancel Beachbody On Demand you only need to visit this link here. Refunds and cancellations are done very quickly.

I’ve Been Saying It For Years

That when Beachbody finally gets with the times and offers their workouts to be viewed online is when people who are on the fence about doing a Beachbody workout due to the $120 price of a normal DVD workout will come forward.

People will now be able to at least sample and view all of the workouts for $40 for 3 months. That’s extremely doable for just about everybody’s budget. If you don’t like any of the workouts – which is impossible – you can cancel your membership and not have to worry about sending the DVD’s back.

I heard Carl Daikeler say they could have gone digital two years ago but in true Beachbody fashion they did not want to half ass it. I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes so I can only believe him.

What I Believe This Really Does

Is finally address the illegal downloading of workouts and counterfeiting problem Beachbody has had for years. I’m not sure how much Beachbody spends on salaries for the legal team and to those who try to find people making illegal copies and selling them for profit but it must be in the millions.

Beachbody can now give them something more constructive to do then track people down who are trying to make a couple bucks selling an old technology for a lot less than Beachbody is.

If you don’t know, Beachbody does not offer a way for you to download any of their workouts but you can find the files online at just about any torrent website.

I don’t get why anybody would want to download P90X for example and store a huge file on their computer (or possibly a corrupted file with diseases on it) when they can view it online for $13 a month and not have to worry about any of those things.

I know a number of people including myself who only like to do one or two Beachbody workouts a year and would rather pay $80 to view them online for six months instead of paying $240 for the same two workouts and let them sit around. Heaven forbid you scratch a DVD or lose one too.

What This Also Does

Is cut down on clutter. Look at how many Beachbody workouts I have on my shelf.

My Beachbody Workouts

Its truly amazing how I ever get out of shape with me owning every single Beachbody workout. I know there are a couple more in the basement where our gym area is at.

I can also burn all of my DVD players. The only reason why I have them is because of the Beachbody DVD’s. Heck, Apple hasn’t had a built in CD/DVD player on an iMac or MacBook Pro in 3+ years. You’d have to buy a separate drive which connects via USB to play. What a pain.

Beachbody Workouts Online

As A Coach

This kind of gets me excited about the Beachbody Coach biz again because we can finally compete with the counterfeits and downloadable files. I don’t see why anybody would want to buy a fake copy now when they can view it online in an HD format for a third of the cost.

Sure, new workouts are cool but we didn’t need more newer-er workouts from the same trainers. What we needed was to address the large amount of people who would buy a fake copy or risk downloading a workout and never get into the Team Beachbody system. Beachbody was secluding a huge number of people because of this.

I had a past VP of Team Beachbody tell me that for every 10 people who buy P90X only 2 of them came from Beachbody.com or a Beachbody Coach. That means 8 of them were being bought (new) from counterfeiters.

As most seasoned coaches know, the earnings don’t come from the sales of workouts. They come with the sales of perishables like Shakeology, the P90X Recovery Drink, and other nutritional products which are ordered every month. These purchases typically come after somebody buys and uses a workout – not before.

So now we have a chance to capture up to 80% of the market of people who want to buy Beachbody products but were turned away because of the entry price point.

While I think this is a much needed step in the right direction and has been severely past due I still think it can be improved. My guess is Beachbody will increase the club membership price after this gets rolling as they weigh the technical costs.

If it was me I’d offer the workouts online FOR FREE or a severely discounted club membership price if customers bought Shakeology on home direct. I’m sure the trainers wouldn’t like that as they wouldn’t get a royalty but I’m sure something can be arranged based on online views or something.

I don’t know what the profit margins are for Beachbody but my guess is they will go up as more people move to viewing the workouts online then buying the physical DVD workouts. Warehousing, product packaging, and every other cost that goes into making a cardboard box look pretty before it ships out to a customer will have to drop or eventually go away.

In The End

Its about damn time. I already have my Beachbody Club membership and am ready to finally view these workouts on my 4k HDTV without the need of a stupid DVD player and I hope you are too.
