Does Shakeology Have Caffeine In It?

December 28, 2012 - Updated November 16, 2018

Does Shakeology Have Caffeine In ItWondering if that boost of energy you get from Shakeology comes from caffeine?

Well, it probably is not.

Especially if you are drinking Greenberry because it has 0 caffeine in it. The rest of the flavors have trace levels of caffeine.

From what I could find, the green tea extract in Greenberry is decaffeinated.

Chocolate Vegan and regular Chocolate both contain minimum levels of caffeine from the cocoa in those formulas.

With Beachbody sticking to their standards of using whole ingredients and not extracts in the vegan formulas, an all natural green tea extract containing low levels of caffeine is used in both Tropical Strawberry and Chocolate Vegan.

Beachbody has said Chocolate Shakeology contains about 18mg of caffeine. A regular cup of coffee has 75-100mg while a cup of decaf coffee has 2-15mg in it.

At 18mg of caffeine, Shakeology is similar to a cup of decaf coffee. Not once in my seven years of using Shakeology on a daily basis have I felt the ups and downs like you would from drinking a lot of coffee.

I still have a cup or two of coffee every morning with Shakeology. But typically I feel a smooth and consistent energy throughout the day and my best guess is because of all the nutrition in Shakeology.

But if you’re looking to kick a caffeine habit completely then go with Greenberry Shakeology.

Does P90X Work For Overweight People?

December 20, 2012 - Updated November 30, 2018

Does P90X Work Overweight PeopleOne concern for many people who are overweight is if P90X will work for them. The simple answer is yes. P90X will work for anybody. If you follow the P90X workout plan, do your workouts, eat clean, and drink your Shakeology then you will see results.

The task of committing to P90X for the entire 90 days is usually the biggest hurdle many overweight people have to deal with. Heck, its hard for in shape people. When was the last time you followed any kind of fitness plan? It will be a new experience for sure.

Should I Do P90X If I’m Overweight

This is probably a better question to ask. P90X is tough. It challenges everyone regardless of your fitness or health level. The good news is you are shown how to modify the moves to start building up your strength.

But the problem that usually comes up from overweight people who I talk to is it’s just too much too soon. I can understand where they’re coming from. P90X is no joke and you’ll probably be pushing yourself harder in those first 10 minutes of P90X Chest and Back then you’ve done in the past 4 years.

I Don’t Have An Hour To Workout

Yes, You do. You just haven’t set aside an hour in your daily schedule to do it yet. One of the best things I heard from an overweight guy who had success with P90X was “by working out for one hour a day you’ll get so much more life out of the other 23 hours.” Couldn’t agree more.

Should I Start P90X If I’m Overweight

I tell every overweight person asking about P90X to pass on it for now and start with something else. I recommend them doing the Beachbody Ultimate Reset followed by the Power 90 workout and then P90X. Going in this order will start working on breaking old bad habits and replacing them with new good ones. The Ultimate Reset gets you started on a 21 day eating plan that will probably drop 10+ pounds and inches everywhere off your body.

Once you got a handle on the eating situation then start working out with Power 90. Workouts range from 20 – 35 minutes long. Its challenging but not too challenging. Then move onto P90X. You’ll have a much better grasp on the eating, built strength, dropped weight from Power 90, and be ready for the crazy hour long P90X workouts. If anything, you’ll be looking forward to starting P90X.

P90X Success Story For Overweight People

P90X Success Story Overweight PeopleThere are many P90X success stories from overweight people. With a little bit of patience and determination to hit your goals, overweight people can have success with P90X. Here are a couple of my favorite stories.

Pretty moving stuff. Not only did Richard save his own life with P90X he has also gone onto inspire his hometown. Yes, he struggled at the beginning because he was extremely overweight but he did overcome it eventually. His P90X success story won him $100k at the 2012 Coach Summit.

Jeremy Yost was one of the first overweight people to have awesome success with P90X. So much so that he has been on numerous infomercials for Beachbody talking about how overweight people can do P90X.

Do you have something in common with Jeremy or Richard? Do you know that you need to make a change in your life? The success will not come as fast for overweight people but it will happen. If you want to see more success stories for overweight people than sign up for a free Beachbody account and check out the message boards.

There are hundreds of P90X success stories on there from overweight men, women, young, and old. When you create the account you will also get me as your coach. I am here to help so please reach out to me.

Is It Ok To Do P90X Over And Over?

December 17, 2012 - Updated December 5, 2018

Do P90X Over And OverWhen I first came across P90X I loved it so much that I kept doing it over and over and finished 3 rounds back to back to back. I was having so much fun so why stop?

Looking back at those first three rounds I can tell my body changed the most during the first 90 days. I had never done anything like P90X before so there was room to grow. Its not that I was not in shape prior to starting P90X. Its that I was not in P90X shape.

But as I progressed through round three I noticed my reps and weights started to peak. Basically, there was no more “Muscle Confusion” going on.

It Was Time To Move On

I had nothing left to give to P90X. Everything was maxed out including my motivation to do P90X. And Tony Horton’s jokes were no longer funny.

Thankfully, Beachbody released Insanity after my third round and I went right into doing it. It was a nice change of pace.

In the end I do think you can do P90X over and over until you max out your results. There isn’t a need to power on through it from there though. Your body needs a break and something new.

What To Move Onto?

If you want to stay in the Beachbody family of workouts then I suggest checking out what Beachbody On Demand has to offer. Maybe you want to dial it back for thirty days to rest up and then move onto something extreme again.

Download Body Beast Workout

December 11, 2012 - Updated March 23, 2020

Download Body Beast Workout

Beachbody On Demand is now a thing. You can stream Body Beast and every other Beachbody workout online whenever you want for $99 a year ($8.33 a month). This is what you want.

Beachbody does make you pay for it up front. If you are not happy with it within 30 days they will refund your money. They also offer a 6 month option for $60 or a free 14 day trial.

With your Beachbody On Demand membership you can download the files to your computer. At that time you will be given an encryption key from Beachbody to access the files. As long as you keep your account active you will be able to view the files.

I’m sure you’re probably looking for a way to download Body Beast for “really” free as this option isn’t truly free. I get that.

Before you hit the back button I’ll tell you right now there are torrent websites out there with the Body Beast workout available for download.

What you don’t get with the free download or torrent is the Body Beast workout calendar and the “Book Of Beast.” Its a 135 page book that contains a meal plan, info about the Body Beast supplements, and other stuff about getting huge. If I did not read it before starting Body Beast I would have been lost. Beachbody did throw us a bone and offered up some of the Body Beast stuff for free. Here is how you get it.

  • Create a free Beachbody account. After doing that you need to go to the Get Fit and Eat Smart tab. Download the Body Beast workout sheets for free. Then input your numbers into the calorie calculator to determine how many calories you need to eat for Body Beast.

You will find a workout tracker and tons of people on the message boards talking about Body Beast. Probably the best part of the free account is I will be your Beachbody Coach. What a deal! I’ve completed Body Beast and had great results.

I know what you’re getting yourself into and will be there to answer questions when you have them. I don’t work for Beachbody so please don’t think I’m going to report you to Beachbody if you do decide to download the Body Beast workout for free or its torrent.

Download Insanity Asylum Workout

December 10, 2012 - Updated March 23, 2020

Download Insanity Asylum Workout

Beachbody On Demand is now a thing. You can view Insanity Asylum and every other Beachbody workout online whenever you want for $99 a year ($8.33 a month). This is what you want.

Beachbody does make you pay for it up front. If you are not happy with it within 30 days they will refund your money. They also offer a 6 month option for $60 or a free 30 day trial.

With your Beachbody On Demand account you can download Insanity Asylum to your computer.

From there you will be given an encryption key to access the files to use as long as you keep your Beachbody On Demand account active.

If you cancel or let your account lapse your account goes inactive. And therefore you will not be able to access Insanity Asylum.

I’m sure you want a way to download Insanity Asylum or its torrent for free. And I’m sure if you spend a couple of minutes you’d be able to find it.

If that’s what you’re looking for then let me share this one piece of advice.

The sites where you can download Asylum from do not include the calendar or meal plan. The good news is that there is a way to get those items for free. This is what you need to do.

  • Create a free Beachbody account. When you’re done you need to click on the Get Fit and Eat Smart tabs at the top. You’ll be able to download the Insanity Asylum calendar from there.

The free account gives you the ability to use other free tools like the progress tracker and meal planner. Probably the best thing about the free account is that you get me as your Beachbody Coach.

I had great results with the Insanity Asylum workout so I know what you’re about to go through. Feel free to reach out to me to ask questions and for support. I’m not an employee of Beachbody so don’t think I’m going to tell on you if you choose to download the Insanity Asylum workout after leaving. I won’t know and I’m not going to ask.

What Is The Hardest Insanity Asylum Workout?

December 4, 2012 - Updated November 24, 2018

This is a trick question. All of the Insanity Asylum workouts are hard. If you haven’t started Asylum yet and are looking toward an off day then this isn’t the workout for you. Anyways, the list below is from my experience of doing Insanity Asylum.

Hardest Insanity Asylum Workout

  1. Gameday – At 60 minutes it’s the longest Asylum workout. You only do it 3 times in the program as it’s designed to incorporate a lot of the moves from the other workouts. Its miserable.
  2. Speed & Agility – I feel this workout is the basis of the entire program. Every move you do is meant to be fast. Pushups, rope jumping, squats while jump roping, and shoulder taps going through the agility ladder.
  3. Strength – My Bowflex Dumbbells were getting a workout of their own during the first ten minutes. Shaun T does so many combo moves with them that you’re hurting everywhere. If you’re in good enough shape you’ll be able to use the pull up bar for some of the moves. I was dead tired by then and could barely do 1 so I stuck with the weights.
  4. Vertical Plyo – Jump rope, jump, push ups in the agility ladder, more jump roping, more moving push ups, and more jumping.
  5. Fit Test – While its designed to asses where you’re at physically, the fit test is no joke. The 9 moves are tough with very little time in between to catch your breath.
  6. Back To Core – The warmup gets the heart pumping which leads into a tough lunge with pulse sequence. This workout is more about using your core to maintain stability in the moves.
  7. Overtime – Its probably not fair to put this 15 minute workout so low as you only do it twice in Asylum and its after the grueling Game Day workout. On its own this would be an ideal total body workout to be done when you’re short on time.
  8. Relief – Here comes your easy day. This workout is only 25 minutes long and you stretch for the majority of it. Pretty much what the title says.

My list might be a little different than yours and that’s cool. In order, these were the Asylum workouts that were hardest for me. It was a toss up for Strength and Vertical Plyo as I have a knee injury which limited me in how hard I could push myself with all the jumping. In the end all of the Insanity Asylum workouts are hard and there really are no off days.
