More reps and fewer breaks this time around with the Insanity Asylum Back to Core workout.
Most of the exercises in the Back to Core workout involve doing a specific move for 30 seconds or longer so its more of a cardio workout then a resistance one.
I like it because it gives my knee a day off. After doing this workout a couple of times now I can see and feel the improvements.
You would not think this workout is a hard one in the Insanity Asylum workout because of its mainly body resistance moves but it is. Your arms and legs begin to feel like bricks 20 seconds into a move and Shaun T gets you to keep on pushing.
The small connector type muscles really get a workout and in some cases a stretch. Doing the arm pulses in a lunge is brutal. Took a video doing the Back to Core workout to see how I am progressing with it.
Only 3 more days of the Insanity Asylum workout to go. Looking forward to tomorrow’s Relief workout. Feeling a little tired after all of the softball I’ve been playing and mountain bike riding I’ve been doing the last couple days.
