Beachbody On Demand is now a thing. You can view Insanity and every other Beachbody workout online whenever you want for $99 a year ($8.33 a month). This is what you want.
Beachbody does make you pay for it up front. If you are not happy with it within 30 days they will refund your money. They also offer a 6 month option for $60 or a free 14 day trial.
With the Beachbody On Demand account you will be able to download the files for Insanity to your computer to use when you don’t have internet access.
Beachbody gives you an encryption key to use to access the files. As long as you keep your account active your encryption key will work.
I understand this is not how you download Insanity for free. And that there are torrent websites out there with the files available for a free download.
Before you hit the back button I want to share a couple things with you.
The sites where you can download the Insanity workout from are missing a couple things. Those being the Insanity workout calendar and Insanity meal plan. Those two things are important if you really want to get the most out of Insanity. Good news is you can get them for free from Beachbody. Here is what you need to do.
- Sign up for a free Beachbody account. After you’re done go to the Get Fit and Eat Smart tabs. You’ll see the links to download the Insanity workout calendar and an area where you can input your measurements.
ok im not saying who made this website is wrong hes completely right. people downloading insanity is take way money from the people who truely deserve it its wrong to do but i saying you have to look at it from to point of view of the people who cant afford it. i believe they have every right to get into shape as everyone else.look at me, im an 18 year old kid who got bullied pretty much every day cause i was smaller than everyone else. i dropped out of school in the ninth grade and i have no job. the only way i can possibly get the insanity workout is to download it. i was able to get itthe deluxe part and i loved it. im about a week in right now and im pushing myself just as hard as if i would have bought it. i guess what im tring to say is dont discourage people from downloading it because some of them just dont have the money to buy it. i will admitt it is worth the $120 but it is a little much for ten dvds.one more thing the people that didnt push themselve when they downloaded it most likely wouldnt have done it if they bought it its not the price tag that got people to do it, it was thier devotion to get into better shape. if i miss took anything im sorry let me know ill change what i said.
@ George
You don’t have to change anything as most of what you said is correct. The issue that comes up is in the future. The people who lose out are the ones like you and I who really push ourselves with the workouts and enjoy them. Now if people continue to download Insanity, Beachbody will not have any money to create future workout programs like their newest one the Insanity Asylum which I’m doing right now and its awesome. Beachbody does not have the money to pay trainers like Shaun T to create these crazy programs. Sure, he’s making a lot more money selling workout programs but even if this went away he would have no problem being a personal trainer or leading group workouts in his home town and that brings up the problem. You and I don’t live in his home town and those group workouts or personal training time costs $30 and up per session. So your looking at on the low side a cost of $700 to get his expertise and thats only for 3 months. Or you can buy the Insanity Workout DVD for $120 and have it forever. I’m sure you can see how much more cost effective buying the DVDs are and getting his expertise instead of having to pay him every session.
i understand what your saying and i wouldnt have any problem buying the beachbody work out programs if they didnt cost as much as they do. the way i figure it is if they lowered the price just alittle, and i dont mean much, more people will be will be able to buy it and they should start make more money then then what they are now. lower it to somewhere between 90 to 100 dollars, it not a big difference but it is one. if it was just a little lower i would be able to buy it and so would alot of other people. every body i have talked to about the beachbody workout prgrams have said they would get it if it wasnt so exspensive. within the past two weeks i have talked to about 80 people who have wanted to try these workouts but just didnt have the money and i pretty sure if i kept it up i would find more, alot more. so as you can see there is people all over the u.s. that wants to do these workouts but because of the cost of them they cant unless they download it. i want everyone to try these programs but with the cost of them some people just cant afford it so they download it and even i discourage that but what else can they do.
George
Thanks for replying. To answer your Q’s about price. You can buy Insanity for $89 through Beachbody. All you need to do is sign up as a Beachbody Coach and you’ll get a 25% discount on all products including Shakeology, P90X Recovery Drink, and P90X Protein Bars which do make a big difference when doing the workouts.
If Ferrari’s were cheaper then a lot more people would buy Ferrari’s, right? The reason why things are more expensive is because they are worth it.
I still feel like your missing my previous point about how much a personal training session with Shaun T costs ($30 and up) vs. the cost of the Insanity DVD. You are making an issue of $20 being your buy/no buy point. Knowing that your getting 10 sessions for $120 that you can take with you forever vs 4 sessions that you’d have to remember everything he teaches I hope you see how much cheaper buying the Insanity DVDs are.
I understand that $20 is a lot of money, but you need to take into consideration the other factors. What you should do since you’ve already told 80 people about Insanity is sign up to be a Beachbody Coach, buy Insanity at the discounted price, split the cost with your friends, and do a group workout. Contact me for details.
ok so what would i do as a beach body coach? im not in amazing shape like you and the people on the dvds. i am barely able to finish the workouts myself. im just starting out.
George
You share the products that work for you to other people and earn money in return. Click on the Beachbody Coach link to watch the video.
I seriously doubt that downloading this program is taking money away from the Beachbody company. That is all double-talk. if someone is having to download the program, chances are they don’t have the money to buy it or aren’t willing to spend what you’re selling it for anyway. It’s not hurting these multi-million/billion dollar companies at all. I completely agree with George that everyone deserves the chance to get into shape and spending the $$ doesn’t necessarily motivate a person to use it.
Lucy – I’m confused. How does Beachbody not lose out on money when somebody illegally downloads the Insanity workout? Beachbody is not getting paid on that transaction. Insanity is IMO under priced at $120. That’s 2 months of gym membership fees. Buy Insanity for $120 and have it forever or spend $700 for a years with of dues when you get zero training or expert advice. People download it because thats what we are used to doing with media files on the internet nowadays. I’m not going to defend IP property rights as I understand thats what keeps prices high. But until that is revoked we have to deal with the current laws. What you and George think about “deserving” something is completely wrong. I drive so don’t I “deserve” a Ferrari? The answer is no. Its not that a Ferrari is expensive, its that I can’t afford it. You don’t need the Insanity workout to get in shape. There are plenty of free options. Put on your shoes and do wind sprints all day. Then the next day put 100 pounds of rocks in a back pack and go for a walk taking breaks every 4 minutes to do push ups. Both options are free. You are correct that spending money does not guarantee motivation to workout. There are plenty of people who have gym memberships that never go. But from my experience of talking to people who buy vs download Insanity, the ones who bought have a much higher success rate. Reason being is they hate knowing they spent $120 and are not using it. That’s their motivation. Once they get past the first month it becomes a habit and they start to see the results. The $120 is a drop in the bucket after that because they know the product works. Most people who download Insanity treat it just like a song they downloaded for free. They listen to it one time and forget about it. Thats not what Insanity is about. The workout is meant to be used 6 days a week for 60 days or longer. The goal is to create a positive workout habit while getting expert advice from Shaun T. Otherwise the files get lost in your iTunes next to INXS’s “Need You Tonight.” I like 80s music just like anybody else but I only play it when I’m in the mood for it. I hope you and others can see past the $120 and see what the Insanity workout is all about. Changing lives.
I just want a way to play them on my iPad . For crying out loud have they never heard of iTunes?????? I’d gladly pay for a legal copy I can use on my iPad. I’m away from home at least 20 days a month. Yeesh even Netflix is trying to get rid of DVD.
John – I’m very confident that Beachbody has heard of iTunes. The problem is creating the app and or download. Beachbody will not put out a crappy app or download and they have only begun to start working on it.
I bought Turbo Burn from Beachbody. I want to work out with a friend to my great new DVDs but another friend is telling me that doing that is illegal because of copyright laws. I am not holding a class and charging people to work out; it’s just me and one friend. If this is the case then i should be hauled off for also letting my daughter and her friends watch our DVD of Harry Potter at a recent slumber party! I’m pretty sure “personal use” means that you don’t misuse the DVD such as burn it for others or profit from one purchase. Can you advise me on this?
Tamara – You do not need to worry about any of that. You can share the Turbo Fire workout with others. You just can’t try to copy them and sell them.
Ok I just saw the Insanity workout infomercial. $120 wouldn’t be alot….. If it wasn’t within this current economy. The same goes for the 25% coach discount. I’m currently working at fast food restruant. I F****** hate it! but where i live the economy sucks, jobs are hard to find and most only pay7.25/hr and will only work you about 20-28 hrs/week. My last pay was $185 dollars, That isnt even close enough for me to live on. I go to college and have to pay for my own car insurance and pay $120 payments on my car….WHICH IS HOW MUCH THIS COST! If the price was lower i would do it and no doubt it would change my life. I was always picked on through out my life because i was bigger then all the other kids. I just turned 19 yesterday and i weigh close to 270lbs. I hate the way i look but because I make such low wages and don’t have the time to work more i don’t have the money to buy it. Hell because of my current financial deficiency i have to take a semester off of college just to pay for my car. So now tell me why I shouldn’t download it. Because I would LOVE to hear your response.
Ray
Thanks for leaving a great comment. I understand your concerns over the price of Insanity and how it relates to your current financial situation. You, I, and the rest of the world understand that it probably costs Beachbody $15 to make all the workouts and put them on DVD. They have to cover their marketing costs and the IP laws (which I’m not a big fan of) increase the price of doing business. That is another discussion.
One of the points I was making in this article is that people who buy the Insanity workout tend to complete the entire program and its because they have invested into it. You don’t need the Insanity workout to get into shape. Go for a walk, a run, ride a bike, hike, do some push ups, sit-ups, lunges, etc. Those are things you can do for free. You should look at the Insanity workout as a challenge and with most challenges you need to pay to play.
I don’t want you to stay at 270 pounds and think about yourself the way you do. Even if you could afford Insanity I would not recommend it for you just yet. What I would recommend you do right now is: 1. Do not eat any of the food from the place you work at. 2. Start going for a walk around the block everyday and eating at least one apple or piece of fruit. Most people who are at your weight are there almost entirely because of what they eat. I have seen people your weight lose 50 pounds in 2 months from just walking 5 days a week and changing what they eat. You need to start somewhere and this is a plan you can do right now with your current budget. Beachbody and myself would love to give you tips on the meal plans. Create a free Beachbody account and then click on the Eat Smart tab. I can’t do the grocery shopping for you but there are free plans in there that show you what to buy and how to prepare the meals.
You did not get to 270 pounds overnight so its going to take sometime to get to where you want to be. I’d hate to see you get frustrated doing Insanity and possibly injuring yourself. Not saying you can’t do it but its a bad place to start. Also, if money is an issue then signing up to be a Beachbody Coach could be an opportunity to improve your situation. It does not matter that you are over weight. Its about committing to your health and helping others just like how I hoped my response helps you.
I really don’t want to download it, but currently living in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Would it even get delivered over here? I’m totally against the ethics of downloading this for your reasons stated above, great post.
Hi Brad.
As you reply all the comments, I think here is a good place to ask my big question.
First of all, I didn’t come to this site searching for illegal donwload, actually I’m trying to buy it, but I live in Brazil, and this is a problem because:
1. I didn’t find a single online store that can send the DVD to my country;
2. Even if I find, I think the DVDs are not going to run in my player because of the DVD region.
So, i wonder if is there a way I can get these videos?
As you probably can see, download is the best way for me, because of the compatibility with my hardware and because of the shipping cost, but any other way is welcome too.
Finally, sorry for my bad English. I’m still learning.
Anthony
Beachbody does deliver worldwide. Unfortunately, they do not allow the coaches to sell to anyone outside of the U.S or Canada yet. You need to go to Beachbody.com and click on the Ship Worldwide link.
Marco
Beachbody makes the workouts compatible for different regions. You have to go to http://www.Beachbody.com and click on the Ship worldwide link. Tell them I sent you.
Wow, the weird thing about this is that they simply say that can’t send to other countries than U.S and Canada, but there is a special place to do that.
Well, I was taking a look in the other programs from Beachbody, and I thought maybe is a good idea start with “10 minute trainer”, and you asked me to tell Beachbody people that you sent me there, so I want to know if you are going to get your money whatever program I choose to buy.
I’m almost sure the answer is YES, but I had to ask.
I have been working out for about 15 years now, going through my marathon era, to my triathlon era and then my power lifting era. I love to work out but absolutely cannot motivate myself to do it at home. I need the gym, I need the people sweating it out with me. With the way people communicate now why hasn’t beachbody develop those videos that are compatible for Ipad or Iphone? I would love to be able to PURCHASE them and take them with me to the gym. I already own P90X and although I found it challenging, I stopped doing it because the gym and the camaraderie I experience during my workouts kept on calling my name. I am back to running and lifting but would love a chance to change it up and believe Insanity would be a perfect fit!
Lissa – Beachbody just recently introduced the P90X app. Its good for the iPhone or iPad. You need to create a free Beachbody account first and then you can download it on your iPhone or iPad.
I don’t have a problem paying for stuff, but I bought the Turbo Jam workout some time ago because it looked like something that would really be a lot of fun and a challenge, I ended up not using it, not because I am not motivated because I work out on a regular basis. I would not use it because of the instructor saying invision slaming someones face into your knee, or something similar. That totally turned me off and I waisted my money buying the DVD. I do not think that invisioning being violent is a possitive thing at all.
I don’t feel like spending another $120 just to be disappointed like that again. Now I am stuck with a workout DVD that I will never use because of the instructor being so inappropriate.
Seriously? It costs about 15 cents for ANY company to make a DVD, so it’s about $1.50 for the whole program of DVDs. You can lie to people all you want. There’s no reason for it to cost that much. Fact is, big companies are like the government. If you don’t have deep pockets, you don’t matter. Poor people can stay fat and unhealthy for all these companies are concerned. They SAY they care about people and their health, when they really only care about how much more they can stuff their bank accounts. how sad.
Hello Brad, I wonder if insanity is sold here in Brazil, since I have three days to read about and I have no answers, and was wondering if I can sell these products here too, this Beachbody Coach business opportunity can develop here in Brazil?
Marcos
The Beachbody Coach opportunity is only available to U.S Citizens right now. Beachbody is trying to move into other countries. You can put your name on their waiting list by following the link above.
ok first of all i downloaded it for free didnt get any viruses or anything they wont ship in italy so thats how it has to be done if they didnt want it ripped offline they shouldnt make it hard to retrieve
My high compliments to Brad Gibala for exceptional replies. It shows that you care for people regardless of a sale. I truly appreciate truthful responses at any cost. For those of us who can’t afford this DVD, listen to his other recommendations. Perhaps look at the DVD’s as an investment of $120 and when you’re done with it, you can sell it and recover some of your money. The old fashion way is to save up for something you really want.
Thanks MR.
I’m happy to hear you didn’t get any viruses. Like I said in my post I would agree with most of what you said. Beachbody actually does ship international. You just have to ask via email or call them.
Hi! Please I’m in Nigeria and I need the DVD so I can start my workout on June 1st. But how do i get it and how do i Pay?I’d like to buy from you. Please reply ASAP it’s urgent.
Victor
Go to the Beachbody Store.
Where do i download the free version?
Go to the Beachbody Store.
Hey guys just look around. It is not hard to find a free download for any of the beachbody workouts. I got my P90X free as well as my insanity. I paid 0 buck s and I got the whole program.
Tim
I think you’re missing the entire point of the article. Its not about finding P90X or Insanity for free. Your absolutely right, it is easy to find it for free. Its the results from getting it for free. The success rate of people who download P90X / Insanity is less than 5% because they don’t use it. You might be apart of the 5% who does use it. I don’t know that. However, the ones who do buy it know they have some skin in the game and use it. Free is easy.
anyone know EXACTLY where i can find INSANITY online for free?
im talking, like zippo payment. if someone could send me the link for the downloading site let me know 🙂
Kendall
Please re-read the article.
I believe you just said everything that I was thinking. We hear about the obesity spectrum and the increasing amount of individuals who die from heart disease and etc., but yet we find something that may benefit and its $120. In this economy it is difficult for some to afford this product. I use the outdoors for my gym. I recommend the devoted individuals to look at ebay or craigslist for a reduced cost. TFC
The way I look at it is $120 is a whole lot cheaper then a lifetime of Doctor visits, injuries, and overall poor health. Way cheaper to fork out $120 on a product that works if you use it then to not use anything at all and pay for those other things. I would not recommend looking on Craigslist or eBay for Insanity and instead buy it through a Beachbody Coach like myself so you get the support which is needed to make it through the workouts.
It’s quite funny how I came upon this site, because I was searching for why the Insane Abs Dvd is scatter unorganized decided to just start searching. I actually downloaded P90x and Insanity a long time ago, I have completed P90X and I have completed Insanity once also, but I never followed one of the most important aspects the Meal Plan..
Although I downloaded those I purchased P90x2 for $299 and that’s really the first time that I appreciated and understood why purchasing was important, the extra items such as Stability ball, push up stands, medicine balls, Rumble Roller, all really were vital to my success… Versus how with the original P90x a bought random resistant bands that popped on me multiple times, various weights…..
Let’s just say I have come full circle and I may be buying Insanity Asylum soon or RevABs…
Fuck you, I want it free bitches. I don’t fucking swimm in money, you know.
Thanks for the kind comment. If you’re not swimming in $120 then you have bigger problems. Maybe you should sign up as a Beachbody Coach.
Well said.
lol its okay dude! me either. I really want to try this, very bady, but i dont have 120 dollar to spend. Im on a tight budget. but your comment made me laugh!d: lmao
What about my reply to his?
stop wasting time with this discussion and where someone buys, statistics and the comparison to heart disease. Give it a REST! Its about money and affordability/what a person can or wants to spend on an item. I’m sure there are many on both sides that have the CD and don’t use it to the fullest. Can’t believe all the wasted typing here. I was once GIVEN a wrkout vid and got in great shape fast. Not cheap..but free. kill the noise about stats please… get over yourself
Thank you for your comment Lana
You must have skimmed through the article and hurried down to the comment section to blast me. I’d recommend re-reading the article. I didn’t talk about heart disease so I dont know where yur coming up with that I cover all of the issues you bring up. Unfortunately, I can’t get over myself about the stats and where people buy it. In the article I cover the amount of emails I have received since starting this blog 4 years ago. My stats back up everything I said. And like I said in the article there are people on both sides who dont use it to the fullest but that number is much higher for those who *don’t* buy it. You kind of back up my point about buying it. Even though you did not buy the workout video – somebody else did and gave it to you. You appreciated this gift and used it.
Its not about money / affordability. Its about if you knew how much more you would get for $120 over free or $50 wouldn’t you find a way to pay for it. You get so much more when you buy the Insanity workout so I wrote this to help people see the benefits. That is all. Have a nice day.
I have to applaud you on your polite answers to some rather inane comments.
Living in St. Kitts and unable to afford a gym, I was running hills, sprinting, squatting, etc. and still seemed to be putting on weight. I was never heavy, and even ran a 1/2 marathon without really training for it, but I just seemed lumpy and out of shape. When I got a chance to get the Insanity series for free, I took my friend up on his offer, desperate to shift my body the way I’d been trying to for 4 years. It was painful and lives up to its name, but I most definitely saw results and have been recommending it to others (who have bought it – although several through 2nd party options, i.e., used copies – so still not benefiting Beach Body) .
My computer was stolen right before I left the island and although I got it back (everyone should have preyproject.com installed on their phones and computers), my Insanity workouts were gone. I’m desperate to have them back and will now pay happily for the DVDs because I know they work and I know it’s something I’m willing to put myself through for the results I worked so hard for.
I think part of the issue is that people don’t want to pay for things that might not work for them. Like that very heavy person who wanted to buy a set. There is no way they would have been able to do this workout and they would have become discouraged and angry that they had wasted that money. You can go to a class and realize you’re in over your head and stop going. Once you’ve paid over a hundred bucks for the DVDs, you’re simply out that money (if you can’t turn around and re-sell them). I don’t know if there’s a money-back guarantee on this product, but if not, they should consider it. It’s not for everyone.
Thanks for your comment Renee. I think what people dont know is Beachbody offers a 30 to 90 day money back guarantee on all of their products. So if you dont like Insanity on day 45 then return it for a full refund. If people stuck with the program then they would never return it. Thats the problem. Getting people to stick with it.
GO TO YOUTUBE AND WATCH THE VIDEOS THERE! FUCK ALL YOU PEOPLE DO IS BITCH ABOUT WHO CAN AFFORD IT AND WHO CANT! IUF U CANT AFFORD IT, WATCH IT FREE ON YOUTUBE! BUT IF U COULD AFFORD IT, GET THE FUCK OFF THE COMPUTER AND GO BUY IT INSTEAD OF BITCHING HERE ABOUT IT! IF U DONT LIKE IT, STFU AND WHAT THE FUCK YOU DOING HERE THEN?!
ANTONY
THANK YOU FOR TYPING IN ALL CAPS. WHILE THERE ARE VIDEOS OF PEOPLE DOING EACH INSANITY WORKOUT ON YOUTUBE THERE ARE UNFORTUNATELY NONE OF THE ACTUAL WORKOUT WITH SHAUN T. ITS JUST NOT THE SAME. THE QUALITY OF THE VIDEOS ARE SUBPAR AT BEST AND YOU DONT GET THE INSTRUCTION OF WHAT TO DO IF YOU CANT DO A MOVE. I AGREE WITH MOST OF YOUR COMMENT BUT WOULD RECOMMEND STILL BUYING IT. YOU GET SO MUCH MORE.
Mexico is way lax on internet stuff. Find a Mexico website and download whatever you want. If that doews not work you’ll have to find someone who live in Mexico and have them burn you whatever you want.
I still think you miss the point of the article. I would add that the internet is way lax on internet stuff regardless of how you find said info.
buying the program doesnt garantee someone is actually going to get up everyday and workout. So it doesnt matter weather you buy it or get it for free. It all depends if the person is willing too make a change in theire body and if its free why not try.
Agreed about the guarantee. I stated this in the article. However, the success rate for people who buy Insanity is two if not three times higher than those who do not. I have been working with people for almost 3 years now about this so I know the numbers.
well i just bought inanity workout dvds and let me tell you it is truely insane love it though because its time for me im a stay at home mom and to me this is time for me only its awsome and the only way this will not work is if you dont do it right gotta love this insane workout deal…….lol im annoyed though but have fun with it 🙂
I’m not disagreeing with you Charlotte. The underlying problem is IP rights. Beachbody has to charge more because each step of the process to get the Insanity package has additional costs which are attributed to IP rights. Plus, Beachbody also pays their lawyers to protect their intellectual property. I am against intellectual property. Beachbody and Shaun T did not invent any of the moves in Insanity.
What Beachbody did was put it all together to challenge people to get in shape. If you look past the $120 price tag you’ll see that your getting a lifetime of workouts for what’s 2 months of gym memberships or 2 weeks of personal trainer sessions. I’ve had my Insanity DVD’s for 4 years. Completed 2 rounds, one hybrid round, and mix in Insanity all the time. I see it as every time I use Insanity that the cost of ownership goes down. With the results I’ve received I’m perfectly ok with paying for it.
I can’t buy insanity workout, but I would love to beat the challenge. I was 130 in high school and now am at 208 12 years later. From work to home and kids…i would gladly post my progress week by week but u tube sucks and I haven’t the budget to purchase.
Maybe the Insanity workout is not the program you should start with then. Probably something like T25 would be better. Go to the Beachbody Store to learn more.
Hi,
I want to do the insanity workout but the problem is that I live in Lebanon, and apparently I can’t order it to be shipped here. Even if I did, the DVD wont play due to a code or something which only allows it to be played in America
